Let's read and discuss
"I need Your Love, is it True?"
by Byron Katie
Do you think getting the love, attention or approval of someone else will make you happy? Do you spend more time looking to others to meet your needs and desires rather than fulfilling them yourself? Is there at least one person you are trying to get to love and approve of you?
I spent most of my life doing this. Back in 2008, after yet another disappointing relationship, I was at the library and came across the book "I Need Your Love, Is It True." I started reading it right there and recognized myself (my story) instantly in the pages.
After finishing it, I went on to read all Katie's other books, watched her videos, eventually made it to the School for The Work (amazing), attended several events with Katie (awesome), joined the Institute For The Work (wonderful) and became a certified facilitator.
This book started it all and it's been quite a journey since the first time I read it. I'm very passionate about "The Work" and love to share it with others as much as possible.
Having read "I Need Your Love Is It True," many times, I still find great benefit and new insight reading it again.
If you want a life that doesn't depend on others liking or approving of you. If you are ready to stop trying to get someone to love you or at the very least treat you well... let's read (or re-read) this book.
It might never happen for us but we can at least try. In the meantime... "May life kick you off your pedestal time and time again, until you loose all interest in being on pedestals." ~Jeff Foster.
We will be meeting for 6 sessions, an hour each, on Zoom starting July 6th at 10am PST / 1pm EST
